Project
Details
Mesivta Lubavitch Miami opened a new campus in Miami Gardens in March 2026: three acres, a 180-bed dormitory, an on-site mikvah, a dining hall, and a beis medrash walled in windows. LEC had bought the land five years earlier. The yeshiva had grown past ninety bochurim and out of the room it had.

How it was shot
A school promo, shot in a single day.
One day means you work around the school rather than the other way round. Classes run on their own schedule, so you plan the day against the timetable and shoot what is actually happening instead of staging it. Anything that needs setting up properly has to earn its slot.
Miami Mesivta is a division of the Lubavitch Educational Center, so this sits inside a longer relationship rather than being a one-off job. That matters on a one-day shoot: I already knew the buildings, the staff and how the place runs before I arrived.
A school promo has one job. A family deciding where to send their son watches it and gets a real sense of the place, which is why it opens on people rather than on the campus.
The brief was clear about what this was not: not a recruitment video. Documentary, not sales. So the film is built out of interviews, leadership, rabbeim, the guidance staff, the shluchim who run the trips and the mivtzoyim, alumni and the bochurim themselves, cut against the building and a normal day inside it. It shows what the place does rather than arguing for it.
This project is one part of a longer story. Read the full case study here.
