Filthy Foods Advertainment Video

“Filthy Foods” is a vibrant and dynamic advertainment video developed in collaboration with Daniel and his team. In 2021, Daniel approached me with the idea of creating a commercial reminiscent of the “Dollar Shave Club” style, aiming for a unique and engaging presentation that would stand out in the market.

Our creative process began with an exciting brainstorming session, where we explored and refined a series of concepts that would capture the quirky and bold personality of Filthy Foods. On the day of the shoot, we meticulously planned each shot to ensure precise execution, capturing every moment to align with our high standards.

The project was an exhilarating challenge that pushed our creative boundaries. From conceptualizing attention-grabbing ideas to the detailed editing phase, the entire project was a collaborative effort. The final commercial not only showcases the distinctive essence of Filthy Foods but also effectively resonates with the target audience, leaving a lasting impression.

Daniel, the founder, reached out with his assistant about producing something for the brand. We talked it through, went back and forth on concepts, and they put together a script. I came in and delivered it.

We worked room to room and space to space, covering the whole place. A lot of the fun was in the seams between shots. I worked out a transition that carries a cup, with an olive on it, from an interior room to outside: I framed where the inside shot finished, then went out and placed the cup in exactly that position, so the two shots lock together and read as one continuous move. There is another where a golf ball is hit outside and lands in a cup inside the restaurant.

Those stitches are why the piece moves the way it does. Working directly with Daniel is what made them possible, because decisions got made in the room instead of over email.
