I had the privilege of filming the music video for “Take the Crown” with legendary artists Aaron Holder and Nissim Black. We went at it guerilla-style — quick and raw — with just a few hours to make it happen. As we were driving through miami searching for some spots to film we stumbled on an active construction site smack in the middle of Miami, littered with rubble and rebar, the city’s skyline glowing at sunset behind them. That backdrop, gritty and unpolished, mirrored the track’s intensity and message.

From the dust of Miami streets to the controlled energy of the studio and intimate house setups, along with a Israel concert performance shot in Israel the visuals came together into something powerful. Both Aaron and Nissim bring such commanding presence — Aaron with his soulful artistry, Nissim with his signature fire as a rapper — and weaving their worlds together in one frame was something special.

I’ve had the honor of working with both of them extensively over the years, from concerts to music videos, and every time we create, it feels like another chapter in a shared journey of friendship and collaboration. This one was no exception. “Take the Crown” is bold, unapologetic, and deeply resonant — and I’m grateful I got to help bring it to life.

Additional Info

Take the Crown” is a powerful anthem of resilience, faith, and purpose from Nissim Black and Aaron Holder. The verses wrestle with doubt, criticism, and the weight of expectation, yet keep circling back to an unshakable faith and a higher calling. Nissim lays it bare with raw honesty — about mistakes, comparisons, and outside judgment — but his words flip those struggles into a declaration of strength: God’s with him, and that’s enough.

Aaron’s soaring chorus lifts the track, turning pain into fuel for hope. His voice brings that sense of light breaking through darkness, echoing the reminder that we’re here for a reason and no one can bring us down. Together, their blend of grit and uplift makes “Take the Crown” both deeply personal and universally relatable — an anthem for anyone pushing through challenges to rise into their purpose.
