Project
Details
“Recovery” is a profound and moving music video that emerged from a unique collaboration between Hardcharlie and Meir Kay. The project began when Charlie, a psychotherapist with a deep passion for creativity, approached me with a track that was as powerful as it was personal. The song, which addresses the struggles of addiction—particularly alcoholism—resonated deeply with me, and I knew immediately that this was a story that needed to be visually brought to life.
Understanding the importance of the message, we decided to expand the collaboration to include Meir Kay, a well-known influencer and actor who has a strong connection to the themes of recovery and community. His involvement added an extra layer of depth to the project, allowing us to explore the subject matter with sensitivity and authenticity.
Additional Info
The shoot took us to New York, where we embarked on an intensive filming journey across significant locations. We began at the iconic 770 Chabad HQ in Crown Heights, a place steeped in spiritual history, and continued to Eastern Parkway and the Aliyah Center. Each of these locations provided a rich backdrop for the scenes we captured, imbuing the video with a sense of place and purpose that echoed the song’s core message.
“Recovery” is more than just a music video; it’s a heartfelt artistic endeavor that seeks to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing dialogue about addiction and recovery within the community. The powerful visuals and poignant storytelling aim to shed light on the challenges of addiction while offering hope and support to those who are struggling.
